Instrumentalities in Flux: From Water to Sound Matter, from Experimentation to Musical Innovation

On 15 May, Luís Bittencourt presents Instrumentalities in Flux at gnration, Braga, as part of LAMB – Laboratório Ambulante, a programme promoted by Passeio – Plataforma de Arte e Cultura Urbana (UMinho/CECS), in partnership with Circuito – Serviço Educativo Braga Media Arts, gnration and other cultural organisations within the region’s cultural network.

Bringing together artistic research, sonic experimentation and performance, the session explores how water can become sound matter, instrument and creative agent. Drawing on Bittencourt’s long-term research into water as a musical and sonic medium, the programme combines an artist talk with a hands-on workshop, inviting participants to listen, experiment and discover new forms of musical expression through the transformation of matter into sound.
